Dr. Paul Robach is a sports physiologist specializing in altitude hypoxia, with a focus on blood volume and regulation. His research also focuses on altitude training and athletic performance. He has conducted many high altitude field studies in the Alps and also during a simulated climb of Everest for a month in hypobaric room.
He has extensive knowledge of blood volume determination with the carbon monoxide re-inhalation technique. Paul Robach is also certified mountain guide and high mountain guide trainer at ENSA of Chamonix.
