This expedition, unique in the world, brings together the greatest researchers in hypoxia and altitude! Also, to allow as many people as possible to learn more about our work, we have decided to join a team dedicated exclusively to the communication of this expedition.

Our team consists of the Hypoxia Physiopathology laboratory (HP2) of INSERM and the University of Grenoble Alpes, French leader in the field of hypoxia research, as well as IAB, LIBM, MOVE and ENSA laboratories.

EXPEDITION 5300 brings together the best specialists and researchers in the world in their fields: altitude, hypoxia and genetics. This team will set up a full-scale laboratory in the highest city in the world at an altitude of 5300m.

Their objectives? Understand the mechanisms of adaptation to altitude and oxygen deficiency. Bringing state-of-the-art equipment, the team will have nearly 30 days to carry out a series of tests while providing advice to the local population.

Come and discover the team that is making this world premiere!
